Have you joined in yet? Flickr is so fun, isn't it? Anyway, since today is bench monday, I decided to take my photo on my only bench, which happens to be sporting a new look. I could have recovered the bench, but I liked the fabric that was on it. Now it has a little cover. I was going for a pleated look, but I think I made it too full. Now it looks gathered. Perhaps if I steamed the pleats it would lay more flat. Oh, the fabric - I'm in LOVE with it. There will be a pillow to come.
It's hard to tell from the photo, but I got a new mirror. It's quite large. I got the idea in my head that I wanted a big mirror, so I went out and found one. I'm still getting used to it. If anything, I should be able to get some interesting self portraits now, don't you think?
I don't know what's gotten into me, but I have been in a serious nesting phase. I think I finally got tired of my house being half-ass, so I'm doing something about it. The bench cover wasn't the only thing for the house I sewed this weekend, but I'll save that for later - it's bench monday :)
