Well, here we are, the first Monday of 2010. I shouldn't be complaining because the kids & Matt are out of school until Wednesday, and I took today off. I knew I couldn't face it. I'd much rather ease back into things. I really couldn't think of anything to write about (a bunch of days of nothing will do that to you), so I decided to hop on a bench-like structure and take a photo. Bench Monday...just barely. It's not exactly how I wanted to start the year, but it'll do.
That fire in the background, it's a necessity right now. I know we're big wimps down here (and don't really know cold), but it's COLD right now. Our average January high temperature is 60 degrees, so highs in the 30's rocks our world. We're having a hard freeze tonight. My poor tropical patio plants! I covered them, but I'm afraid that they are going to bite it tonight, and if not tonight then later this week when we're supposed to have lows in teens. I hate it. I know for certain I could never make it somewhere with a real winter. My blood is too thin!!
And while I'm complaining, I'll just go ahead and say ENOUGH with all the diet talk already! Seriously, does every morning show and talk show have to do 5+ segments on how fat we are and how to lose weight? Yes, I know M&M's aren't a proper lunch, sometimes it happens - get over it! Ugh. Just remember, moderation is key.
If I can get my sloth-like frozen bootay in gear, I'll be back with something crafty later in the week...maybe.
