My 4th reverse applique alabama chanin inspired skirt. Yes, I am in love with these skirts! The skirt pattern is from Alabama Stitch, the stencil design is my own. There's something about hand sewing on two layers of jersey that I'm absolutely smitten with. It's such a lovely tactile experience for me.
I finally got around to adding the proper fold-over elastic. This is the first skirt that I've tried this on. Yes, it is coral pink, but so what - I don't plan to wear my tops tucked in (no way!). Now that I've proven to myself that I can do it, I need to go back to add elastic to my other three skirts.
Maybe one day I'll branch out beyond the skirt, but I have no plans for that any time soon.
